Easter Bunny is coming and we are getting ready.

I took little Bot to a near state park and snapped a few before the sun went down.

The wicker basket was mine growing up but better than that it was my dad’s.

As you may or may not know, I take pictures.

I started taking them when I was preggers with Bot, 2007.

I put it aside for a couple of years and at the end of last year I picked up a camera again.

I realized that I have many things I CAN do. Then there are things I LOVE to do. Photography is one of those things I believe I was MEANT to do.

The creativity that it allows is…beyond words.

Yes, if you have a fancy camera you can take a pretty picture. It’s more than that. It is what you do after the snap.

Today I missed this sunset by a mere three minutes but still got a pretty nice shot.

When was the last time you encouraged someone? Me, you ask? Today. I went to church this morning and before I left the building I texted a friend. This friend is sometimes my boss, the one who guides me, is honest to me, and a great woman/mother/wife. Today, I went to her instead of her being my guide. I encouraged her. Her response was very receptive. I am excited to see the outcome.

You know, often I think of how I can grow as a mother/girlfriend/daughter/sister/teacher/photographer(Phew, I’m a lot of things huh?) I think I realized today that sometimes being a better me means seeking others. I can not do everything by myself but can really improve who I am by letting others in. I do not usually let people in. I am scared of being vulnerable. I do not have to feel that way and that feels GOOD!

Yes, I may still worry about things but I have others to ENCOURAGE me to feel otherwise. Who and how will you encourage someone this week? Come back and let me know!!!

FB friend request

Tonight I got a FB request from a bloggy buddy. It brought back fun memories of a time in my blogging I really loved. True community. Moments as she recalled,”I miss those videos of Boston walking around in his diaper. I guess he’s too old for that now, huh?” Well, he’s a big boy three years old…and that just means I am getting older. Steps closer to thirty. Ack! I still stalk/read my favorite blogs and enjoy what social media has become. I think I have just enjoyed it much more from the back row.

I have not seen my sweet man in a few week and it will be a few more until I get to see him. Boo. I am still learning the difficulties in a long distance relationship but I must say it really is all worth it. We cherish every moment spent together. And as my long lost bloggy buddy said,”New boyfriend is SEGZY!” THAT’S RIGHT!!!!

Back to Reality

Well, my TWO fun filled weekends with my sweetness are over. Back to reality and work…both I love dearly. I can say that I had a great time going to the movies, a hockey game, and out to eat with friends(that was the first weekend). This past weekend was even better. We spent a lot of time at the house snuggling, cooking together and watching EAT. PRAY. LOVE.(I do NOT recommend that one.) The hardest part is always leaving. I know it will never be too long before we see each other again. I just hate leaving a piece of my heart behind. Makes it seems like I am always trying to get back to it.

Have you ever dated someone long distance?? Any advice tips??
